Improving Foot Health At Work
Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis is caused by the strain and inflammation of your foot tissue resulting in severe pain in the heel, especially during the first few steps of the day.
With plantar fasciitis, it’s key to ensure that your shoe has enough arch support. This is needed in order to spread the weight of the foot evenly, the more contact the foot has with the ground, the lower your plantar pressure meaning great comfort and support.
Our CustomPro Range offers a choice of three insoles providing customisable comfort in a choice of soft, medium or firm arch support to suit your preference.
One of our wearers sent us feedback: “Since putting on my first pair of WearerTech Relieve’s, they’ve not only relieved the severe stabbing pain in my heels caused by plantar fasciitis, but have
Flat feet
Flat feet is just how it sounds, you have either a very low arch or no arch, meaning that one or both of your feet may be flat on the ground. Some people with flat feet have no symptoms but then again there are others that experience a variety of symptoms.
The most common symptom of flat feet is pain in the feet which is caused as a result of strained muscles and connecting ligaments.
It is important to ensure that you wear the correct footwear that is best suited to people with flat feet. Features to look out for when looking for work shoes are; wide fitting shoes, wide toe box, and a with plenty of cushioning.
Our CustomPro Range is designed with a roomy fit, the Transform has 6 eyelet laces meaning that you can customise the width of the shoe. The insoles inside the shoe also provide a great deal of comfort.
High Arches
High arches are an inherited condition where your arch is much higher than normal. Trying to find shoes for high arches can be really difficult, as often there isn’t enough room or support to accommodate a high arch which can really be really painful.
It’s important to look for shoes that have firm arch support as this ensures that your feet are having a much contact with the bottom of the shoe which helps to distribute pressure. Our CustomPro Range comes with a choice of insoles, so we would suggest going for the firm insole option.
It’s also really important to make sure that your foot is stable in the shoe that you are wearing. The lining inside the CustomPro Range is very elastic which means that it supports your shoe but moves with your feet naturally inside the shoe. They also have a wide toe box which allows your toes to spread naturally.
